Angela Lowenstern first became interested in medicine in high school after taking an animal physiology class.
Angela Lowenstern’s documented work combines interventional cardiology training, clinical research, and structural-heart education. She was educated at the University of Michigan and completed undergraduate and medical education in Michigan before training in internal medicine and general cardiology at Duke University. During 2020-2021, she was listed among Duke’s cardiovascular fellowship alumni and completed a clinical research fellowship. Her research interests include innovation, coronary artery disease evaluation, and age-specific risk stratification. In 2019, she presented PROMISE study findings at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions and was identified as the poster’s lead author. A 2024 presentation addressed TAVR for aortic stenosis in women. A 2019 profile reported that she had published more than a dozen peer-reviewed articles and planned an academic career involving coronary and structural procedures and research.
