Keith H Benzuly is a Northwestern cardiology faculty member whose clinical interests include PFO, chronic total occlusion, complex PCI, acute myocardial infarction, angioplasty, coronary disease, Rotablator, and stents. He is Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and leads the RECHARGE Trial, comparing PCI with CABG among under-represented groups, including Black or Hispanic patients and women. Benzuly earned a BA from Northwestern University in 1984 and an MD from the University of California, San Francisco, in 1988, followed by internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology training through 1996. He received Northwestern’s 2011 Excellence in Teaching Award and chaired the Illinois chapter of the American College of Cardiology in 2018.
