Christian Nagy is an interventional cardiologist and structural-heart specialist whose work spans adult congenital disease, transcatheter valve therapy, and catheter-based cardiovascular care. He joined the George Washington University faculty in 2013 and is listed as an associate professor of medicine. A 2025 interview identified him as GW’s Structural Heart Disease Director and cath-lab director at the Washington, DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center. His training includes an MD from Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (1999), combined medicine/pediatrics residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital (2001-2005), dual pediatric and cardiovascular disease fellowships at Johns Hopkins (2005-2010), and interventional training at Toronto General Hospital and Tufts Medical Center (2010-2013). He was the first fellow to complete dual adult and pediatric cardiology training at Johns Hopkins. His research includes structural and congenital heart disease, including TAVR.
