Marc Samsky is a cardiologist and clinical investigator whose work addresses the evidence challenges of cardiogenic shock. At the time of the Grand Rounds report, BEST-SHOCK was a proposed randomized trial comparing Impella CP with vasopressors or intra-aortic balloon pump support and had been submitted as a PCORI grant.[2]
