Peter Glynn

Peter Glynn is a cardiologist and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Illinois Chicago. His clinical interests bridge cardiometabolic health and multimodality cardiovascular imaging, including echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI. His research includes population-level heart-failure outcomes and cardiovascular risk assessment. He was identified as first author of an analysis of heart-failure-related cardiovascular mortality and coauthored the 2025 JAMA Insights article “Cardiac CT Calcium Score.” Glynn completed medical school at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, followed by internship and residency at Northwestern and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Northwestern. His board certifications include internal medicine and echocardiography.
