Olga N. Kislitsina is a cardiology researcher whose work uses echocardiography and speckle-tracking strain imaging to study atrial and ventricular mechanics, valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation, and remodeling after cardiac procedures. She earned an MD from Astrakhan Medical Academy in 2004 and a PhD from Moscow University School of Medicine in 2009, completing cardiology residency and fellowship training at Bakoulev National Scientific Centre for Cardiovascular Surgery. She later served there as a Clinical Cardiologist and spent one year in 2016 as Senior Research Scientist at CorMatrix Cardiovascular, evaluating extracellular matrix and stem-cell approaches to heart failure. In February 2018, she became Associate Director of Northwestern’s Center for Heart Failure Research. Her work also includes collaborative studies, trainee mentorship, and team science.
