I was born in Tehran, Iran, and received my medical degree from Beheshti University School of Medicine in Tehran. After graduation, I worked for almost 4 years as an emergency room doctor and family physician in southern cities of Iran. Before joining the UH Cleveland Medical Center residency program, I worked as a research fellow on prostate and lung cancer projects in the Biomarker Discovery Laboratory at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Currently, I am a resident in the AP/CP program at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University. My interests are in cytopathology and genitourinary pathology and I am currently working on projects related to application of molecular testing in cytology and prostate cancer histomorphology. In my free time I enjoy traveling, dancing, and cooking.[1]
