Priya M. Freaney is a Northwestern cardiologist and faculty leader focused on improving cardiovascular prevention and care for women across the life course. She is Assistant Professor of Medicine in Cardiology, Director of the Women’s Heart Care Program, and the Lawrence E. and Nancy S. Glick Family Distinguished Physician in Women’s Cardiovascular Health. Her clinical expertise includes postpartum hypertension, menopause-related cardiovascular concerns, SCAD, non-obstructive coronary disease, and echocardiography. Her research examines prevention and early detection, cardiovascular outcomes after hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, precision prevention during menopause, and imaging, biomarkers, and digital health for personalized care. She earned a BA from Duke in 2011 and an MD from Ohio State in 2015, then trained in internal medicine at the University of Chicago and cardiovascular disease at Northwestern.
