Sanjiv J. Shah is a Northwestern University cardiologist and physician-scientist who leads the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine’s Center for Deep Phenotyping and Precision Therapeutics. He is the Neil J. Stone, MD, Professor and Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at Feinberg School of Medicine. Shah earned his MD from Northwestern in 2000, completed internal-medicine residency at UCSF from 2000 to 2003, and cardiovascular-disease fellowships at UCSF from 2004 to 2006 and the University of Chicago from 2006 to 2007. His documented interests include HFpEF, cardiac amyloid, cardiac sarcoidosis, pulmonary hypertension, echocardiography, clinical trials, deep phenotyping, machine learning, and precision therapeutics. A 2018 PubMed byline lists him as an Associate Editor.
