Caroline Mifsud, D.O. Chief resident What attracted you to Mayo Clinic? I was seeking a rigorous academic training program that also focused on serving rural, underserved communities and providing full-spectrum family medicine care. At Mayo, we have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of experiences: outpatient medicine with our own patient panel, inpatient medicine, delivering babies and caring for them in the newborn nursery, performing procedures, rotating in specialty clinics, and more. I knew after my interview here and my experience with the kindness of the faculty and residents that this was the perfect program for me. What is living in Rochester, Minnesota, like for you? I have lived in both small towns and big cities, and Rochester is the perfect in-between. It has everything you need and more! I appreciate being able to get anywhere within 15 minutes. My husband and I enjoy trying new restaurants and breweries in the area. We love going to concerts in the cities just over an hour away. The community is welcoming and kind. We love it here!
