Issam A Mikati is a Northwestern University faculty leader in cardiovascular imaging, currently Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Radiology at Feinberg School of Medicine. His training includes an MD from the American University of Beirut in 1990, residency at Baylor Affiliated Hospitals, and an imaging fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Public materials identify him as associate director of the Echocardiography lab at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. His scholarly interests span echocardiographic hemodynamics, strain imaging, diastolic function, contrast-enhanced stress echocardiography, coronary CT angiography, and deep-learning approaches to ejection-fraction assessment.
