Albert C. Lin is an associate professor of Medicine in Cardiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and leads the active LAAOS-4 clinical trial. His public clinical and research work focuses on left atrial appendage closure, atrial fibrillation, cardiac implantable electronic devices, lead management, and cardiac electrophysiology. Lin earned his MD from the University of Chicago in 1992 and completed residency and fellowships at University of Chicago Hospitals in 1995, 1998, and 1999. He is board certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiovascular Disease and has been a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology since 2001 and the Heart Rhythm Society since 2015. Earlier, at the University of Chicago Medical Center, he implanted the first Attain Ability cardiac lead on April 23, 2009.
