Eric Xie is a Duke clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellow whose training bridges engineering, cardiac imaging, and arrhythmia care. He attended Johns Hopkins for undergraduate education, medical school, and residency, majoring in biomedical engineering with a focus in electrical engineering and graduating early. Before cardiology fellowship, he worked in computational biology and helped design a smart pedicle probe. During medical school, he spent an additional year identifying MRI features associated with arrhythmia development. He began Duke’s Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship in 2023 and plans a career in clinical electrophysiology. Outside work, he enjoys tending a vegetable patch in the Triangle area.
