Lynne Michelle Hurwitz Koweek is a Duke radiologist and cardiovascular imaging leader whose work applies computed tomography to coronary disease, structural heart disease, vascular pathology, and pre-procedural planning. She is Professor of Radiology and Associate Professor in Medicine at Duke, and serves as medical director of cardiovascular imaging and Medical Director of Computed Tomographic Services. Her documented research includes the HeartFlow ADVANCE Registry, CT contrast protocols for radiation-dose reduction, radiation-induced cardiopulmonary injury, and a 2026 American Heart Association grant on clonal hematopoiesis in heart failure. She has collaborated on multicenter trials and expert consensus guidelines, including chairing ACR and SCCT cardiac guidelines committees. Her publications address CAD-RADS 2.0, cardiac CT terminology, pulmonary embolism reporting, and patient-friendly appropriateness summaries. She earned her M.D. from Duke in 1997, completed internal medicine and diagnostic radiology residencies, and pursued cardiothoracic radiology fellowship at Duke.
