Kaustubha D. Patil is a Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine cardiology faculty leader and clinical cardiac electrophysiologist whose work focuses on complex arrhythmias, ablation therapy, and sudden cardiac death. He earned a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2006 and an M.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2010, followed by internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His research addresses pulseless electrical activity, ventricular tachycardia ablation outcomes, and procedural safety. Patil has served on the American Heart Association Guideline Writing Committee and chaired the Illinois ACC Chapter EP Section since 2024. He is also a member of the ACC Electrophysiology Section Leadership Council for 2025-2028.
