Sean Pokorney is a Duke cardiologist and electrophysiologist whose work connects arrhythmia care, cardiac devices, and health-system quality improvement. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute. His training includes an M.D. and M.B.A. from Northwestern University, internal medicine residency there, and cardiovascular disease, clinical research, and electrophysiology fellowships at Duke from 2011 to 2017. His scholarship addresses atrial fibrillation treatment pathways, anticoagulation access and adherence, supraventricular tachycardia, cardiac-monitor performance, pacing, and infected-device management.
