Anam Waheed

Anam Akbar Waheed is a cardiologist and cardiac-imaging educator whose work connects clinical cardiology with multimodality imaging. She is listed as an attending at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and on MedStar Health’s Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship faculty under Clinical Cardiology. Her training includes a medical degree from Aga Khan University, residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, cardiology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center, and advanced cardiology and radiology fellowship training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Her certifications include cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI. Her interests include cardiac imaging, cardiomyopathy, coronary disease and cardiovascular testing. In 2024, she chaired a Virtual CTA Academy and authored an ACC feature on careers in cardiovascular imaging.
