Current relationship
Bradley Wertheim is a Harvard Medical School faculty physician and pulmonary vascular specialist whose work connects pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) care, cardiopulmonary physiology, and vascular biology. He studied biochemistry at Lafayette College, earned his M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 2011, completed internal medicine training at Massachusetts General Hospital through 2014, and pursued pulmonary and critical care fellowship training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital from 2014 to 2017. He was the first physician selected for Brigham’s Burke Advanced Fellowship in Pulmonary Heart Disease and founded the Rheumatic Pulmonary Vascular Disease Clinic. His research examines PAH biology and treatment strategies, including vascular metabolism, endothelial fibrosis, and targeted therapies. He trains fellows and residents at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and participated in a 2023 PVRI Community Call on PAH-related pregnancy outcomes and metabolic reprogramming.
