Angela DiMango is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Director of the Columbia University/NYP Adult Bronchiectasis Center and Co-Director of the Columbia site of the Bronchiectasis and NTM Care Center Network, and a member of the NYP Lung Transplant Program who manages pre- and post-transplant inpatients while maintaining a general pulmonary practice of more than 30 years. She earned her BA at NYU and MD at SUNY Downstate (AOA) and completed internal medicine residency and fellowship at Columbia-Presbyterian, where she was Outstanding Teaching Fellow of the Year in 1994 and later received junior faculty and Ewig Clinical Scholar teaching awards. Her research spans the National Emphysema Treatment Trial and Columbia's lung volume reduction surgery program, and more recently the US Bronchiectasis and NTM Research Registry, for which she is Principal Investigator at Columbia (COPD Foundation), with co-authored registry papers in AJRCCM, CHEST and Annals ATS and lung transplant outcome papers with Arcasoy's group.
