Baljash S. Cheema is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist. His clinical expertise includes hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation. He trained at Northwestern, earning an MD in 2015 and completing Internal Medicine residency in 2018, chief residency in 2019, cardiology fellowship and an advanced Artificial Intelligence in Cardiovascular Disease fellowship in 2022, followed by Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology fellowship in 2023. He also holds MS degrees from Northwestern’s Graduate School and McCormick School of Engineering. His work applies AI to clinical care, healthcare operations, cardiology practice, and emerging-technology implementation. He is Medical Director of the Human Longevity Clinic and Director of Artificial Intelligence for Graduate Medical Education at McGaw Medical Center.
