A cardio-oncologist and advanced cardiac imaging specialist whose work addresses cancer therapy-related cardiotoxicity and the implementation of cardio-oncology services. He serves as Medical Director of the Cardio-Oncology Clinic at Parkland Health.
Amit Arbune is an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine and a member of the Division of Cardiology. He directs Parkland Health's Cardio-Oncology Clinic and helps lead cardio-oncology education for the Global Cancer Consortium.
His research uses cardiac MRI, CT, PET, strain analysis, and other imaging methods to detect and characterize cardiotoxicity. It also covers immune checkpoint inhibitor myocarditis, chemotherapy-associated injury, complex cardio-oncology cases, and implementation frameworks for building clinical services.
