Evidence before coverage
Carlo Medicine publishes a narrow verified slice before it publishes a broad uncertain one. Every directory number should be traceable to a public source and honest about what is still missing.
Program rosters
Cohorts are collected from official university, hospital, and program pages. A program enters the public index only when its latest coverage audit is closed and at least one current trainee is present. Partial ingests and trajectory-only program mentions stay out of search indexes and comparison pages.
Training paths
Medical school, residency, and fellowship history comes from roster biographies and other public evidence. Names are normalized conservatively. An unresolved institution remains plain text instead of being forced into the wrong entity.
Research records
Publications are linked through PubMed, OpenAlex, and ORCID. NIH iCite Relative Citation Ratio is used when available to add field-normalized context. Author matching favors precision over recall, so publication counts are floors rather than complete totals.
No composite rankings
Carlo shows cohort size, feeder patterns, and research evidence directly. It does not collapse them into a single score. Applicants should use the evidence to ask better questions, not treat it as a verdict on any person or program.
